Fastening plates manufactured by Anstar Oy are steel plates equipped with grips, designed for installation in concrete before it hardens. Related structural attachments are performed by welding directly onto the steel plate.

Fastening plates are used to form a welding attachment surface on the surface of in-situ cast and precast concrete structures. They are utilized in welding joints that transfer loads between concrete structures and other structures. The plates are installed in the in-situ cast or precast mould and are cast into the concrete.

The design of the fastening plate joints can be carried out using Anstar Oy's ASTEEL software, which is used for the sizing of the plates for the structure's loads and the plate's placement at the edge of the structure. The software sizes the reinforcement of the fastening plate as well as the profile to be welded to the plate and its weld joint. Joint design and strength calculations are produced at the same time.

Anstar Oy's fastening plate products are suitable for the following structures:

• AKL®: transferring light loads in element and in-situ cast structures.
• KL: transferring loads in very narrow structures and at the edge of the structure with full tensile strength.
• JAL®: transferring heavy loads in element and in-situ cast structures.
• AKLP, AKLJ, AKKT: long fastening plates are used in locations where several attachment points are needed side by side. AKLP and AKLJ plates are suitable for system attachment, where future attachments that are not precisely known need to be accommodated.
• AKKT: angle rods are used at the corners of columns.
• AKLC-Custom: project-specific custom fastening plates are designed using the ASTEEL software.
